Nadine Hinchliff Therapy Services provides services for children with various needs including, but not limited to: autism, developmental delay disorder, cerebral palsy, asperger’s syndrome, down syndrome, rett’s disorder, fragile X syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, sensory integration disorder, school difficulties and mental health issues.

Parents and carers will find The ‘Red Flag’–Early Intervention Referral Guide for Children’s 0-5 years helpful. This has been developed by Child Development Program Children’s Health Services with GP partners. This document flags areas of concern in children’s development from 0 to 5 and recommends that they follow up on these concerns with their Child Health Nurse and GP.

Need funding? There are options! Nadine Hinchliff Therapy Services is a registered provider for the following programs:

Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) / Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

This referral is available for both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology interventions.

A GP referral will provide five sessions of occupational therapy or speech pathology with a reduced cost per year. They then make rebate claims through Medicare. Please be aware there will be an out-of-pocket expense with this referral, however, it is a way to support your treatment costs.

Helping Children with Autism – FaHCSIA Funding

Both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services are available via this funding package.

Children with a paediatrician-confirmed diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder may be eligible to receive funding through the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package.

Better Access – FaHCSIA Funding

Both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services are available via this funding package.

Eligible children who are aged under six years and have been diagnosed with:

  • Down syndrome ,
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • A moderate or greater vision or hearing impairment, including deafness/blindness
  • Prader Willi syndrome
  • Williams syndrome ,
  • Angelman syndrome
  • Kabuki syndrome
  • Smith-Magenis syndrome
  • CHARGE syndrome
  • Cornelia de Lange syndrome
  • Cri du Chat syndrome
  • Microcephaly or
  • Rett’s Disorder

Better Access Mental Health Care Plan

This referral is for Occupational Therapy intervention only.

Children with the following specific mental disorders are eligible for this plan; anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and conduct disorder. Please enquire, as this is a general list of mental disorders.
